SANOPLANT is a granulated soil amendment, which stores water and nutrients and promotes healthy plant growth. Using SANOPLANT, about 50% of irrigation water can be saved! and in addition, the application of SANOPLANT renders any fertiliser use more effective.
SANOPLANT was originally developed to prevent leaching of chemical fertilisers and herbicides, used on golf course greens, into the water table. Making use of its unique properties it has since been further developed for broader "growing" application, particularily for use in arid regions.
SANOPLANT is a blend of silicate based natural stone powders that undergo a special physical treatment. High resistible carbon compounds and special cellulose are added to the silica product, whereafter the powders are compacted and granulated for easy calibration and application. (SANOPLANT is NOT a "polymer", or "water crystal").
SANOPLANT, has unique properties which enable much improved moisture retention in sand, sandy or fast draining substrates. This means a saving in irrigation water and greater efficacy of applied nutrients or fertilisers (due to reduced leaching).
SANOPLANT has been used for many years in arid climates and desert areas, in landscaping, forestry and agriculture.
With the severe droughts, water restrictions and on-going need to use water more efficiently, we introduced SANOPLANT to Australia in 2006. Applications have been varied, with a strong focus on sportfields with sand based profiles, and we now have many examples where SANOPLANT has been used with great results in Australia.
SANOPLANT has been subjected to various laboratory and field trials, overseas and in Australia, which we will gladly provide on request. We are proud to advise that after careful scrutiny, SANOPLANT has also been awarded the Smart Approved WaterMark by the Expert Panel.
Following the succcess of SANOPLANT, in response to the needs of contract planters in Australia, we developed and introduced SANOVIT, a composite product for improving establishment of new plantings.
